My Politics

Politics is part of my life because I care about fairness, representation and the world we leave behind. I have worked inside campaigns and political organisations for years. I have seen how decisions are made, how power is used and how often the system fails the people it is meant to serve. I have also seen how much difference it makes when someone with integrity steps forward.

My feminism is central to my politics and how I live my life. I believe white men have held power for far too long, and that systemic imbalance has caused profound harm globally. True equality requires an active reset, taking the keys of power away from the default privilege of men like me and swinging the scales decisively toward women and underrepresented voices. As a queer, neurodivergent man, I have experienced repression, but I know it does not compare to the intersecting oppression of racism, misogyny, and ableism. I actively challenge the rise of the manosphere and toxic masculinity, and I stand for total freedom of expression, bodily autonomy, and liberation.

Environmental and social justice are inseparable for me. My politics are firmly on the left, rooted in anti-austerity, public goods, and climate action that puts humanity before corporate greed. I am currently a Green Party member because their platform aligns with these principles, but my commitment is to progressive, anti-capitalist values rather than party branding. I care about principles, not colours on a rosette. I have zero space for Tories, Reform/Restore, far right, or any right-wing ideology.

I am progressive, but I am also realistic. I know how corrupt and cynical politics can be. I know how money shapes outcomes long before voters are involved. I know how often good people burn out while those with ego rise. I hold a deeply pacifist, anti-colonial worldview. I stand against imperialism, settler colonialism, and the historical and ongoing violence used to maintain political dominance. For me, nation states do not have an inherent right to exist, but people do. I support global human rights, liberation, and an end to state violence everywhere. I am realistic about how cynical political systems are, but I stay active because I refuse to look away from systemic injustice, whether at home or abroad.

My politics shapes how I show up in relationships. I value honesty, fairness and people who stand for something. I am drawn to those who care about the world beyond themselves. I do not debate the humanity of others. I do not entertain bigotry dressed up as opinion. I want to connect with people who understand that power is real and that how we use it matters.

If you want to know more about the work I have done or the issues I care about, I love talking about it. My values are part of me, and I do not apologise for them.
